Welcome to the World of Daman Game
What is Daman Game?
Daman Game, also known as Carrom in some parts of the world, is a popular indoor board game that originated in India. It is a fun and engaging game that is enjoyed by people of all ages. The objective of the game is to pocket all the carrom men and the queen before your opponent does. The game requires skills, strategy, and precision to win. With the rise of technology, Daman Game has also been adapted into a digital version, making it more accessible and popular among players all around the world.
How to Play Daman Game
Learning to play Daman Game is fairly easy, however, mastering it takes time and practice. The game is played on a square wooden board with four pockets in each corner. The players sit on opposite sides of the board and take turns to strike the carrom men with their fingers in order to pocket them. The player who pockets all the carrom men and the queen first, wins the game. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to play Daman Game:
Step 1: Set Up the Board
Place the Daman board on a flat surface and ensure that there is enough space for the players to comfortably strike the carrom men. Each player sits on one side of the board, facing each other. The white carrom queen is placed in the center of the board, and the 18 black and white carrom men are arranged in a specific pattern around the queen.
Step 2: Determine the Order of Play
The first player is decided by a coin toss. The player who wins the toss gets the first turn to strike the carrom men. The players take turns to strike the carrom men until all the carrom men and the queen are pocketed by one player.
Step 3: Striking the Carrom Men
To strike the carrom men, the player uses his fingers to flick the striker towards the carrom men. The striker must touch the player’s baseline and then hit the carrom men. If the striker fails to hit a carrom man, it is a foul and the turn is passed on to the opponent.
Step 4: Pocketing the Carrom Men
As per the rules of Daman Game, a player must pocket one of his own carrom men before pocketing the opponent’s carrom men. The queen can be pocketed at any time during the game. If the player pockets his own carrom men and the queen in the same turn, the queen is returned to the center of the board and the player gets an additional turn.
Step 5: Winning the Game
The player who pockets all the carrom men and the queen first, wins the game. However, the queen must be pocketed before the last carrom man, otherwise it is considered a foul and the game continues.
